FURNITURELAND SOUTH AND FURNITURE INDUSTRY LEADERS GIVE TO VICTORY JUNCTION

Furnitureland South’s A. Darrell Harris Memorial Golf Tournament

RANDLEMAN, NC—Leaders of the furniture industry, along with Furnitureland South, came together before the upcoming Furniture Market to celebrate the life of Darrell Harris and to raise money for Victory Junction. Richard Petty kicked off the festivities with a live Q & A session hosted by John Maginnes from PGA Tour Radio.
Darrell Harris founded Furnitureland South and was elected into the American Furniture Hall of Fame, along with his wife Stella, in 2010. CEOs and Presidents of all of the major furniture manufacturers celebrated Darrell’s life while also raising more than $70,000 for Victory Junction, which was founded by the Petty family in honor of Adam Petty.

“We are incredibly blessed to have friends, associates, and business partners that have supported our efforts to honor our father and to impact our community in such a positive way,” stated Jeff Harris, President and CEO of Furnitureland South.  “This contribution will go a long way in fulfilling my father’s dream, by impacting the lives of children with serious illnesses.”

“It is an honor to be associated with Darrell Harris and Furnitureland South. Darrell and Stella have left a legacy of serving others and we are proud to be a part of that legacy. We are especially grateful to Jeff and Jason Harris and the Furnitureland South team for their generosity and passion for our mission,” said Victory Junction CEO Chad Coltrane.

Victory Junction serves children with chronic medical conditions and serious illnesses, and is located in Randleman, North Carolina. Victory Junction is accepting donations in the name of Darrell Harris.
