Victory Junction 2020 Updates

Hello Victory Junction Family (campers, staff, volunteers and partners)! While this year has brought many challenges for us all, we are continuing to work hard to bring smiles to our camper’s faces (no matter where they are). As we look to 2021 our team is working diligently to ensure that we offer programs that are not only fun but safe to all. We know this time of year many of you are usually gearing up to submit your applications for our spring and summer programs. We want to let you know that our applications will not be available during the usual November/December timeframe. We continue to put plans together for spring and summer 2021 and want to be sure that we are releasing that information in the most accurate way possible. Therefore, please look for more communication regarding 2021 program structure coming your way and on our website November 16th. As always, we ask for your patience and understanding as we all navigate these very important decisions for camp 2021. Thank you for being part of the Victory Junction family past, present and future. Stay tuned.

Camp Update

We are excited to share what’s next for Victory Junction in 2021! With the success of this fall’s family retreat model, we plan to continue with a modified approach to serving campers and their families next year. In the spring, we plan to host several weekend retreats for families, including our first-ever overnight Autism Retreat. In the summer, we plan to host nine weeks of modified summer camp that will be a mixture of on-site family retreats and family day programs. REACH will continue to send Magic Kits and provide virtual programming until hospitals allow in-person visits again. Additionally, our equine therapy program, Vic’s Riders, will continue in its year-round capacity for the foreseeable future.

In all activities, we are maintaining strict adherence to CDC guidelines as well as local and state public health guidance to ensure a safe and healthy experience for all participants.

Welcome to Victory Junction!

Free from the confines of disease, illness or disability, children discover that they can just be kids! How does this happen? Victory Junction is a medically safe, yet exhilarating camp, that challenges children who have a serious medical condition to try things they never imagined possible. As they conquer activities like zip lining and archery or experience bowling, fishing or swimming, children build confidence that will shape how they view the rest of their lives.

The magic happens on our lush 84 acres in the rolling hills of Randleman, North Carolina near Greensboro. Once children pass through our gates, the boundaries and limitations they live with on a daily basis disappear and they simply concentrate on having fun! That’s when they shine!
