Due to the special needs of our campers, we have a few requirements that our summer staff must meet. Summer staff must be 19 years of age or 18 with at least one year of college. Summer staff positions are residential and require a commitment for the entire summer (Mid-May through Mid-August). Victory Junction is a high energy working environment, so our staff must physically and mentally able to help campers while maintaining a positive outlook. Program Counselors will have additional training in their specific area.
Please contact Sarah Trigg for any staff application questions.
Cabin Counselors spend each week empowering campers to do more than they ever imagined. They serve as the primary role model for six to eight campers on a weekly basis. Counselors will assist campers with activities of daily living, provide support and encouragement at program areas and ensure the healthy and safety of our campers.
As a Program Counselor, you will specialize in a specific program area providing intentional programming to our campers. Plan and facilitate safe activities that are catered to the specific needs of our campers each week. When not facilitating the activity in the program area, program counselors will transition back to the cabin and provide support to campers.
Program Counselor positions include:
– Adventure (Tower, Swing, Zipline)
– Arts and Crafts
– Boating and Fishing (Lifeguard Certification required)
– Bowling/Adams Race Shop
– Sports and Recreation
– Waterpark (Lifeguard Certification required)
Our summer camp program runs from June through August. The summer staff application opens on December 1st.
