Victory Junction is a year-round camp facility that provides fully accessible on-site and off-site programming for children with complex medical conditions at no cost to their families. Victory Junction’s adaptive, intentional programming includes summer camp, family weekends, day programs, equine therapy, pediatric patient outreach, and partner programs. By removing all barriers, Victory Junction welcomes children with serious illnesses and chronic medical conditions to experience camp fun, all in a medically-safe environment. Victory Junction is a member of SeriousFun Children’s Network and is accredited by the American Camp Association.
The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for planning and implementing the organization’s internal and external communication strategies through social media, website, advertising, media relations, newsletters, and digital media content. The Marketing Communications Manager also supports the development of coordinated solicitation strategies that optimize annual fundraising appeals, including print, digital, and mass communications.

● Manage Victory Junction’s social media channels, including developing strategies and objectives, content creation, scheduling, and interacting with engaged followers
● Engage in social listening on social media channels, including discovery and execution of current trends while also adhering to and improving our DEI presence online
● Develop digital advertising strategies to create social media advertising and Google Ads campaigns to support brand awareness, camper and staff recruitment, and fundraising efforts
● Collaborate with the development staff members as a cross-functional team to plan and implement broad-based communication and solicitation strategies
● Manage and supervise marketing projects from beginning to end
● Assist the Director of Marketing & Communications with the development and implementation of plans to achieve the organization’s strategic marketing objectives
● Conduct in-depth analysis of Victory Junction’s website traffic, using Google Analytics
● Consult with other departments to provide detailed monthly analyses of social media to inform department-specific plans
● Assist with Victory Junction’s website content, specifically managing and creating content for the VJ blog space
● Ensure that all communications comply with Victory branding and messaging standards
● Maintain an updated media contact list
● Write and distribute press releases
● Assist with other content creation, copywriting, proofreading materials, etc.
● Manage interns when applicable
● Develop strategies to expand Victory Junction’s social media presence on new channels and increase engagement on existing channels
● Other duties as needed

● Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
● At least 2 years’ experience working in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field
● Strong knowledge of Google Analytics, SEO, and other marketing tools
● Excellent analytical skills and a thorough understanding of data analysis
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Skilled in writing and editing content with attention to detail
● Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills
● Familiarity with Wordpress is helpful, but not required
