A Year of Incredible Experiences

Victory Junction lives to create a place where children and their families can discover community and have fun, exhilarating experiences that fuel their journeys far beyond Camp. During its 20th year, Victory Junction provided a whopping 13,219 individual camper and family experiences that created lifelong memories!

Campers discovered new strengths in 2024, hitting 2,845 bullseyes in archery, bowling 950 strikes, taking 431 horseback rides, and catching 1,984 fish. Campers found their groove by dancing to 404 songs and shone on stage during 439 theatre performances. During community building activities, counselors call out, “Victory Junction, how do you feel?” and in 2024, campers enthusiastically replied, “We feel soooooo good!” 88 times. Perhaps most impactful, 258 children stepped outside their comfort zones and earned a Golden Ticket for trying something they’d never done before!

Fun and exhilaration also reach far beyond the gates of Camp. Thanks to Victory Junction’s outREACH program camp experiences like games, crafts, painting, and so much more are brought to pediatric patients and families in hospitals and outpatient clinics across NC, SC, and VA. Last year, outREACH programing provided 11,031 unforgettable experiences for children and families in locations where joy and laughter are needed the most.

These amazing 2024 experiences marking Victory Junction’s 20th year wouldn’t have been possible without the support of 1,549 volunteers who contributed an astounding 48,924 hours of service. Alongside passionate staff, this amazing volunteer support ensures every camper and family get the most out of Victory Junction’s programming.
