Job Description
The Accounting Manager works as a key member of the Victory Junction Finance Team, supporting the CFO in overseeing and administering day-to-day accounting operations. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate financial processing, compliance with reporting requirements, and efficient administration of accounting procedures. The role encompasses revenue and receipting, accounts payable, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, and other special projects as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate receivables and revenue reporting, including contributions, pledges, and retail store activity
- Manage accounts payable process, including invoice processing, approvals, and payment scheduling
- Oversee cash management, petty cash, credit card, and employee expense reporting
- Monitor prepaid expenses and accruals, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Support the annual audit process by preparing schedules and providing documentation as requested
- Oversee Major Maintenance Plan in collaboration with VP of Facilities
- Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, organizational policies and internal controls

Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred)
- 5+ years of accounting experience, nonprofit preferred
- Proficiency with BILL, Financial Edge or similar systems
- Strong attention to detail, organization and communication skills
- Ability to work strategically while being hands-on with daily Accounting functions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across departments
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office
