2020 Summer Update

Dear Victory Junction Family,

It is with a heavy but hopeful heart that we bring you this news. Due to the ever-evolving COVID-19 crisis, it will not be possible to hold our traditional on-site camp programming this upcoming summer 2020. Our campers, staff and volunteers are always our top priority. Please know how much we care about you and understand how sad this news is for all.

We are already putting plans in place to make sure that we reach our campers this summer, Victory Junction style, in new and innovative ways. We are also making some exceptions as we look ahead at 2021. For our campers who would age out after this summer, we are extending our age range to 17 for summer 2021!

While we as a team are still diligently sorting out all of the details of what our summer programming looks like moving forward, you can rest assured that it will be based upon the foundation of our core values. For fifteen summers, our Victory Junction family has been committed to safety, high standards, empowerment, respect, and teamwork.

We have made bullseyes in archery, conquered the tower and zipline, eaten cotton candy in Victory Circle, kissed numerous fish at the Boathouse, and belly laughed on Cabin Row. However, more importantly, we have formed friendships, overcome obstacles, danced fearlessly, cheered proudly, witnessed miracles, experienced joy, and found a light that far surpasses the gates of Victory Junction. In this season, we all have an opportunity to be that light. It may look different from what we are used to summer looking like, but we all know that once you experience the magic of camp it follows you wherever you go!

Our campers still need your support, as we explore creative new ways to run programming this summer. Here are some ways you can help:
• Continue to connect with us on social media
• Support us financially. Click here to make a gift
• Keep our campers in your hearts

Finally, please know the “heart” is still beating here at VJ. When June 8th rolls around, that heart on the Spiritual Center will be turned on, and we will be having “camp”, no matter where you are. Until we see your smiles inside our gates again, we are thinking of you all.
